MS150 Bay to Bay 2005
Well the ride is over. The weather was beautiful, nice and cool with overcast, perfect weather for bicycling. We started in Huntington Beach, and went to Mission Bay in San Diego. The scenery is some of the most beautiful in the world. (My favorites are all of La Jolla and the view from the top of Golden Lantern in Dana Point). I encourage you to ride with us next year. At first you may do it for yourself, but after you meet the people with MS, you realize you enjoy doing it for them. Our youngest rider was 11 year old Corie Capalbo. What a trooper! She was leading for quite a bit of the ride. I asked her after the ride how she felt and she said "Great, I could have gone farther".
It's been a few years since I put together a webpage, so this one is a bit
rough around the edges. But here is a list of our pictures from the MS 150
Bay to Bay Ride. If the pictures have a beveled edge, you can see a larger
photo if you double click on it..

Here is an interesting piece of art we saw just south of Carlsbad on the beach. I had to stop and take a picture with my phone. (So does that mean I can telephone on my camera?) Anyway, "Rockman" and his work have been seen in Hawaii, Australia, New Zealand, and Southern California. He is world famous for stacking small rocks into a garden of amazingly tall towers that defy gravity. These towers are about 5 feet tall and are precariously balanced. It is just amazing to see. The picture doesn't do it justice.
Above is Joey Brancato III trying on his helmet for a future MS150. Joey is only 15 months old and while he didn't attend this year, he has been at the 2004 and he bicycled in the 2003 MS150. (Figure that one out!)
